9:30 am Panel 1 – Exploring how the developments in finance and new technologies have shaped the creative industries and in particular brand protection.
Alexandra Damsker is a seasoned corporate and securities attorney, entrepreneur and strategic advisor with deep expertise in technology, blockchain and finance. Formerly trained at the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the international law firm Mayer Brown, she has founded and exited startups and now advises funds, startups, and high-net worth individuals on legal, operational and strategic challenges in emerging tech sectors. Her book Understanding DeFi (O’Reilly) became a top new release and appeared on several bestseller lists. She hosts the token-agnostic blockchain education podcast Crypto/Immersion.
Matt Clark is a British music industry executive and co-founder of The Royalty Consultancy LLP, a London based firm providing specialist royalty and rights advisory services to artists, labels and rights holders, combining decades of industry expertise to support creators and stakeholders. He also serves as manager of the legendary rock band Deep Purple. Music is also an avid guitarist and member of the LionFish band.
Jalen James Acosta is a dynamic Dominican-American creative innovator, multi-disciplinary artist and entrepreneur whose career bridges entertainment, technology and culture. He has been recognized for his contributions as a songwriter and co-producer with mult-platinum Latin Group Toke D’Keda, helping pioneer the fusion of Bachata with hip and Latin pop. He has appeared in national campaigns for global brands, and worked across film, television and commercial media. Jalen founded and leads ventures at the intersection of music, media and technology including World Artists United and co-founding initiatives in the creator economy. He is currently living and working in Paris.
10:30 am Panel 2 – Developments in intellectual property law and why it matters to innovators and consumers.
Andrew Perkins is Assistant Director and Senior Lecturer at the Truman Bodden Law School in the Cayman Islands where he teaches across a range of subjects including intellectual property. Called to the Bar of England & Wales, Andrew began his career in company and banking litigation before transitioning into legal academia. His research and publications focus on financial law, regulation in offshore jurisdicitons and law reform including contributions in international edited collections and journals. He is currently co-authoring a text on digital assets in the Cayman Islands which is expected to be published in the near future.
Steve Masur is a Partner and Chair of the Technology and Ventures Practice Group of Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, where he advises emerging and established companies on corporate strategy, intellectual property, regulatory matters, and transactions across technology, media and entertainment sectors. With more than 30 years experience, Steve has guided clients from venture financing and M&A to global market expansions and regularly speaks and writes on legal issues affecting innovation, emerging technologies and business growth.

Kenny Rankin is the founder and managing director of Monster Media, a Cayman-based event production company with more than two decades of experience delivering concerts, festivals, sporting events, and cultural experiences across the Cayman Islands and the wider Caribbean. Under his leadership, Monster Media has been integral to producing high-profile events and partnerships including the vibrant Capella Music Festival. His work in live entertainment and event management has helped shape the islands’ cultural calendar and enrich the region’s creative landscape.
Ethan Maccoby is co-founder and co-CEO of Burwoodland, New York based live events company behind popular branded experiences like Emo Night Brooklyn, Gimme Gimme Disco, Broadway Rave and All Your Friends, producing over 1200 shows annually across North America and Europe. His innovative approach to themed music events has helped the company cultivate dedicated communities, sell more than 1.5 million tickets and attract strategic investment from high-profile bakers including entrepreneur Mark Cuban.
Josh Garcia is Partner in the Digital Assets Practice of Morrison Cohen LLP in New York, where he advises global clients on blockchain, fintech, securities, commodities and payments law. With more than a decade of experience working with token issuers, AI and crypto developers, financial institutions, and regulator, Jo. sh is recognized as a though leader in digital assets and financial innovation and has authored and spoken widely on legal and policy developments in technology and financial markets
